Having Vision in Business & Life

Share:

The time has come, it’s November and that means only one thing. It’s time to stop, reflect, appreciate and envision the path moving forward. This is something that I’ve done each and every November and December since 2009.

2014 will be a big year for me, I know that already.

How can I be so sure? Well, as I’m writing this communication, I already know on which projects I will focus. If you’ve ever participated in any of my coaching programs, then you know that I’m big on focus and prioritizing my efforts. Doing just that has had a HUGE impact on my ability to reach the highest peaks of success, I highly recommend you set goals and then plan out how to achieve those goals.

While I am at the moment traveling on business and pleasure in Las Vegas and San Francisco, I come to realize that 2013 has been my eye of the tiger. I’ve taken a number of measures to improve my lifestyle and enhance my business, the rewards have been great. These changes will no doubt will fuel 2014 and I’m excited to witness the positive outcomes for the new year.

This year (2013) has been a year of moving forward, letting go and living my life for myself. It’s been a year of new beginnings and meeting new people as well as acquiring a deeper understanding of what it is that I really want out of my life. On the business front, I launched an amazing coaching program in which over 450 people participated and the results they generated were nothing short of inspirational and incredibly exciting. You can access some of this training for free, simply visit my homepage here and optin to access over 75 minutes of free video training.

Not only did I lead many others to success, but I also took the time to work on Brian G. Johnson (a.k.a. me). In May I began hiking colorful Colorado trails several times a week. To date, I already hiked more than 179 miles and accented over 30,000 feet! As you can see, I’ve worked hard on the physical me but I also focused on bettering my insides with personal growth and self-improvement techniques.

I hired Andy Shepard to help me work through some baggage that was doing nobody any good, especially me. After three months of weekly meetings I came out the other side a better, stronger and far enhanced man. The phrase “strong body, strong mind” may be a known cliché, but I can attest to the fact that regular exercise and working with a personal growth coach is indeed beneficial. Not being the one to miss a great opportunity to take my game to a higher level, I also quite drinking as in for good, and if you know me, you know how much I loved my top shelf margaritas.

Drinking was a tricky issue! I had never gotten a DWI, I had never missed a webinar, a JV meeting or anything of that sort. However, alcohol wasn’t contributing anything positive. On October 20, 2013, l woke up hung over after an epic concert in Austin, Texas (John Fogerty). Realizing just how very tired I was of feeling this way after a night of drinking, I announced to my surprised wife; “I just quit drinking.” And that is exactly what I did – I haven’t had a single drop of alcohol ever since.

This year I also made greater efforts to get out and meet with both customers and potential partners. Thus, I attended conferences, workshops, mastermind groups and seized the opportunity to speak at several national marketing events. I encourage you to also get out and meet folks. As they say, it’s often not what you know but whom you know. Meeting people face to face has produced strong JV alliances and has also given me a chance to share my ideas from the stage as well as one-on-one.

2013 has given me clarity as well as control in my business and personal life. I’ve taken the steps that are necessary to achieve the success that I’m after and the journey has been most rewarding. I’m just getting warmed up.

My Vision For 2014 – The Book Deal …

In early September of 2013 I delivered a talk at the Marketing Mayhem event that was put on by E Brian Rose, Bryan Zimmerman and Chad Chasleman from JV Zoo. About a week prior to leaving for the event, I prepared a presentation that was based on my techniques for optimizing blogs to capture more leads. For instance, by making a few minor changes I was able to increase the leads at my own blog from an average of 10 a month from free Google traffic to well over 250.

I spoke about SEO, certain plugins and the theme I was using. It was great content but nothing revolutionary. As I continued to work on the presentation, however, I started noticing an emerging trend — trust.

Many of the tweaks and changes I made to my site instilled trust with my web visitors and I reflected on a quote by Zig Ziglar:

“People listen to those they like and buy from those they trust.”

I immediately thought, “That’s it! I’m going to talk about how trust impacts sales, search engine rankings, success on social sites like Facebook and much more.” From that moment on, I have been working on a new physical book that I will release in 2014. I’m currently speaking with a publisher and hoping to have it available in major book stores across the globe by the fall of 2014.

Magic Bullet Books …

This past year Danny Ramdenee and I launched Magic Bullet Books which offers a simple, easy and intuitive way for anyone to format a book for Kindle. Customers simply login to our site at MagicBulletBooks.com, add their text and images and the system compresses images and formats the content perfect for the Kindle.

Magic Bullet Books was released to my Kindle coaching students and has already been used to create thousands of books, the response has been tremendous.

In the new year we will be adding some amazing features to Magic Bullet Books with the goal of creating the number one Kindle self publishing and marketing platform available which will be coupled with a high end coaching program lead by myself. Even more exciting, we will be offering some functionality of Magic Bullet Books to anyone who has an internet connection, more news on the release of Magic Bullet Books as well as my coaching program in early 2014.

Having vision in my life has been a powerful force that has lead me forward in achieving much success. I encourage you to begin thinking about what you want to achieve in the next year and what you will do in order to achieve that success.

Wishing you the best of success in 2014!

Inspiring stuff Brian… trust is a big factor when I decide to follow a marketer and you always came across as the real deal. Now to start thinking of my own goals for 2014.

Hi, I’m relatively new to being an online entrepreneur and still finding my way. Overwhelm is something I’ve noticed is experienced by a lot of ‘newbies’. There is so much you need to know, there is always change, always ‘bright shiny objects’ to distract you and divert you, and of course the slick online marketers. Finding someone you trust is such a blessing for someone like me. I’ve found a handful of marketers whom I have found to be highly trustworthy and always deliver. Their focus is on helping us to succeed – not padding their wallets (which happens anyway because they have the ‘TRUST’ factor).
I’ve purchased your MBB program and used it to get my first eBook published. I found the process extremely easy and I’m super excited to see what you have planned for the program in 2014. I’ve also found your tutorials to be very informative and easy to follow. Glad to see you are focussing on delivering even more in 2014. It takes a while to pick the ‘real’ guys out there, but when you do, you stick to them like glue. Thanks for being one of the good guys.

Hi Brian, Published my first kid’s book via Revenge and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. I am now looking to create a fiction series based on the real world examples in the non-fiction title. Got invited to read my book to a local pre-school and was told to have some hard-copies printed for autograph copies that parents will purchase. MBB was a lifesaver! And this is all from a data analyst that crunches numbers for a living. Thanks so much for your inspiration and your honesty! Looking forward to 2014 and an exhilarating ride.
