Want to Increase Your Website Traffic?

This past Tuesday over 70 of my subscribers and customers signed up for Aidan Booth’s Authority Hybrid coaching program based on my recommendation as well as my over the top bonus offer (complete with access to Push Button SEO, my next coaching program and lot of other good stuff).

I am a massive believer in coaching and mentoring programs, success in internet marketing is dependent on making good decisions which can be difficult for those who have yet to experience success themselves. Allowing someone who has already achieved success and has the expertise needed to make those decisions for you can shorten your journey and lead you down the path of prosperity.

Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to lead hundreds of marketers in various coaching programs many of whom jumped in, stayed focused and took action on the marketing plan I had presented them and in the process they achieved tremendous results.

This blog post is for those of you who just purchased Authority Hybrid and are preparing to get started with Aidan’s SEO battle plan royal, even if your not taking part in Authority Hybrid you can take this information and use it to your advantage.

Lessons Learned from a Successful Coaching Student

With that I would like to introduce you too David Crocombe, David was a student in my coaching program for 2011, 300 Internet Marketers and after a period of several months began seeing tremendous results with the websites he launched during the training and coaching. After about six months another student posted in our marketing forum asking for advice from members with websites driving lots of traffic.

This was David’s response to that forum post ….

I am getting between 400 and 700 unique visitors a day. Whats the secret?

Hint: There isn’t any secret...

Follow Brian’s teaching TO THE LETTER.

Build a site in a big niche eg: IM, Weight Loss, Dog training.

But segment your market eg: dog training – a popular breed

Add LOTS of Unique content.

The Spartan newbie solution (the content method that Brian taught) makes it so easy to do this. I can grab a video and smash out a 300 word article in 15 mins. Another 10 minutes to do the SEO
for the article, and its published! When I am on a roll I will write 4 or 5 articles which I
then schedule for publication every 2 – 3 days on the site. That way there is always
content being added to the site.

Link to the competitive keywords, whether they be your categories, or SEO pages.
Link, and link again, and keep linking with every article you write till that keyword is in
the top 10 in google. Watch it as it settles there and link some more. Then move on to
the next competitive keyword.

The big traffic comes for the keywords with high search volume….

Add an optin page to EVERY post on your site. And EVERY SEO page. Dont add an
optin page to your review pages.

Turn off all temptations such as Email, Facebook, Twitter till you
are getting a lot of vistors. Stop looking for the 6 figure payday, the short cuts, the instant wealth offers,
the scams – today.

Brian G Johnson, Mario, Aidan Booth, Danny Uk and others in Brian’s inner circle
have built a solid business based on SOLID SEO principles.

Stop looking over your shoulder at what other people are doing and just DO IT.

I say again, have plan – Brian gives us that. Take the plan and duplicate.

( Not meant to be preachy).

The big takeaways:

  • Take Massive Action
  • Follow Your Instructor – To The Letter
  • Focus on Creating Quality “Unique” Content That Matters
  • Surround Yourself with Winners

The big secret is that there is no big secret, stop looking for the magic bullet and understand that those with the most success in life work hard to achieve it. In the the forum thread David mentions some of the savvy markers from my inner circle such as Mario Soto, Danny Ramdenee and Aidan Booth all of whom are members of our internet marketing community and forum here on MarketingEasyStreet.com, if your hungry for success in internet marketing I suggest you sign up and become active. Weeks later, I asked David if he would be willing to write a guest blog post for this site and he agreed.

From David Crocombe,

This is David from Davids Marketing Blog.com.

When Brian G Johnson first suggested to me that I write a guest post for him about traffic generation, I was a bit surprised. After all I wasn’t any kind of Internet Marketing “guru.” No one in the marketplace even knows who I am!

However, once Brian pointed out that I had a site that was consistently getting over 300 visitors a day, and that is something the people would be interested in learning about, I realized that I did indeed have something to share with others.

Lets go back to April 2011. Up to now I have had a small amount of success with Internet Marketing, getting traffic and using SEO, but nothing outstanding. None of my sites that I had “thrown” up had done much at all as far as traffic was concerned.

Most of my Mini Sites comprised of 3 – 4 pages of content, with 3 or 4 word domain names that had the keywords in them. After the initial setup and adding some content they did rank really well in Google…

That is until the Google Panda updates. Most of these Mini-Sites had gone from 20 or 30 visitors a day to about 3 – 4. In fact I watched in abject horror as they “plummeted” in the rankings, as did my confidence.

I knew I had to do something about this, but what I did not know? I was feeling constantly frustrated when I logged into my Google Analytics account and saw the small amount of traffic. The world of online marketing was changing and a new concept was forming that we had to change with, or face missing out.

Sites like CNN, Amazon and others of this size were safe from the ravages of Googles changes because they had:

  • Tons of Quality Content
  • Tons of Quality Links
  • Tons of Traffic
  • Tons of Relevance for Their Visitors
  • Tons of Keywords That They Ranked For

At the same time I became aware of an Internet Marketing product that addressed exactly what I was concerned about. However, I was really sick of buying “products.” I did however, decide to give this one a go, and was really glad I did. The ideas presented in the course 300 Internet Marketers provided a solid foundation for which to build an authority site.

What is An Authority Site?
It has a lot of relevant, and unique content. In essence it is a site that is filled with high quality content that will turn any site in a “Traffic Juggernaut.” Creating something of value to the visitors and the Google (still the largest source of traffic on the Internet) would also love, and a brand.

Lots of relevant content, Lots of keywords, Lots of Internet and External links = Lots of traffic

As soon as I could I created my first Authority Site. The first things I needed to decide were:

  • Domain name: This had to be catchy, not stuffed with keywords. I was creating a brand, something that will be around for a long time.
  • Niche: I was considering a large niche with a lot of competition.
  • Content: what was I going to write about? How was I going to write content?
  • How much of an investment in myself and the site I would be willing to make.

Authority Site requires a large investment of yourself in:

  • Time
  • Writing articles
  • Making videos
  • Patience

All this over a long period of time. This is no “quick fix.”

The Secret of Traffic Generation?

There really is no secret or trick.

Increasing Google traffic comes in time, as more and more content is added to the site and by linking both internally, and externally, with keywords that are ranking well.

Suddenly, after a few months the traffic started to increase as Google provided better rankings for the keywords I was targeting. Go for keywords that have a high numbers in the Google keyword tool, but also forget about spending a lot of time searching for keywords with a lot of search numbers. Yes it is important, but it is not THAT important.

Concentrate on how you can give value to the people coming to your site. Videos are great for that. I never did much with video marketing until recently, and it has been a boon to the amount of traffic I am getting on my site.

Give Google what it wants – your visitors. Google is, in fact, the people that go to your site. They are one and the same. Give them what they want and the traffic will come.

Excellent post, David! You are right, there is no trick. Hard work wins out over get-rich-quick schemes every time, as I know you know.

Great guest post Mr Crocombe, It is nice to see real results from real people doing what we are doing, or are trying to do. So really all we need to do is replicate people who are already successful at it and don’t give up, I also liked when you said “Concentrate on how you can give value to the people coming to your site.” can’t go wrong there. Thanks again.
