Make no mistake about it, video marketing can make or break any Internet marketing business plan. I have been posting videos to the web since 2008 and the results had, time and time again, been incredibly positive. I have been able to connect more easily with significantly many more people online and connectivity is at the core of Internet marketing success.

Likewise, I have been able to rank more easily in the search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing) and I have been able to convert more visitors into subscribers and more subscribers into buyers.

Video is the bridge to online success! If you’re not leveraging videos in your IM business, you will find it harder to make an impact compared to those who are using them.

Here is the good news — video has never been easier to create and publish than it is today. It all started back in 2007 / 2008 with two companies:

– The Flip Camcorder for creating videos
– YouTube for publishing videos

iPhone 4 & 4S - Perfect for Video Marketing

Back in 2008 I picked up a first generation Flip Camcorder. It was dead simple to use and featured built-in software to upload videos straight to YouTube.com. This ingenious technology enabled anyone with some time and minimal drive to easily create then post helpful, silly or downright stupid videos to YouTube which ultimately became an enormously popular video sharing site.

As the months passed, video creation got even easier. Then with the advent of the iPhone 4 it became possible to not only create great looking videos but to also upload them straight to YouTube without having to use PC or Mac computers.

Impressive indeed! I remember shooting videos with an Apple iDevice which was a fourth generation iPod Touch and it had the same video shooting quality as the iPhone 4 without the monthly service fees (hint … hint).

I was able to shoot videos and upload them straight to YouTube with either no video editing or minimal editing that was actually done on the iPod Touch itself.

Why is that a big deal?

Time! I was able to save a tremendous amount of time while still getting high quality videos that were packed with tons of helpful information. What used to take me about two hours to create, then took me only about 15 or 20 minutes. This allowed me to focus on other areas of my business.

“Money loves speed.” Have you ever heard that saying?

Over the past year or so I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the infamous iPhone 5. My anticipation was based on the following features I hoped to have for my business:

– Improved camera for better quality pictures
– Enhanced camcorder for better quality videos
– 64 gigs of memory for storing loads of music, audio books and videos
– iOS 5
– iCloud

Spend Less, Get More: DomainCheapsters.comI knew that with all these new and improved features available in iPhone 5 my life would be simplified because this one device could be used in so many ways including video recording, great picture taking, easy photo sharing and syncing (iCoud). It would also have great apps that could make my videos and pictures stand out or at least be easier to create.

Alas, we did not get an iPhone 5. But we did get a much improved iPhone 4 and everything I needed was onboard. With so many tremendous add-ons readily available for the iPhone, it’s really all any serious marketer and blogger needs.

Here is what I am using nowadays for create videos, taking pictures and much more:

– iPhone 4S

– iPhone 1/8 inch microphone adapter – 3.5mm 4 conductor TRRS Male to 3.5mm Microphone Input Jack From kvconnection.com

Spend any amount of time with video creation and it will not be long before you’ll want to improve the sound quality and this is especially true for the iPhone. This simple iPhone mic adapter only costs about twenty bucks and plugs through an external microphone to the audio jack of your iPhone.

– Glif

This inexpensive little add-on makes it easy to place your iPhone on a tripod which will stabilize your videos. This is perfect for marketers who want to walk people through tutorial type videos.

– Remoto App

bla bla bla

– iPhone Video Editing

With a five dollar app you can then edit your videos right on your iPhone. The apps which I like and recommend are: iMove app, Reel Director and Videolicous App.

Editing on a PC or Mac

You can easily import your raw video files straight to your PC or Mac in order to edit them with your favorite video editing software and it will, of course, result in a more polished look.

In the end, an iPhone is quite capable of taking stunning HD videos (1280p) and is more than enough for blogging or casual online marketing. While it is often easy to get sucked into the fancy software systems applications, what’s most important is the quality of content and that can be easily achieved with an iPhone 4 or an iPhone 4S.

Are you using videos in your Internet marketing? If so, what are you using to record them and how big of an impact is it having on your online goals?
