Understanding the Importance of Goals & Priorities

Plan, Execute & Achieve

Nearly each and everyday I run into a forum post or read an email written by a desperate person that “needs to make money right now”. It is no surprise, the economy is piss poor, unemployment is nearly 10% and making a buck today is getting harder and harder. However, in my experience few people figure out how to make money online in a state of desperation, the power of proper planning, goal setting and having priorities however can make the process so much easier.

One of the largest hurdles online is the fact that there are so very many ways to make money, coupled with so much to learn in order to achieve success that people often decide to “make money online” and that is where the thought process ends.

These People Don’t:

  • Create A Plan of Action
  • Set Date Based Goals
  • Pay Attention to Priorities

With no defined method to make money, often times these people jump from one course, method or idea to another, never really focusing on any one thing for long. The result is many half finished projects and lots of big ideas that soon fizzle out. As time goes on desperation set’s in and I usually end up reading that email or forum post that I mentioned.

If you find yourself in a position such as this, I suggest the following.

Understand having a solid plan of action that is thought and planned out can greatly improve your chance of success, whether that is more money, more freedom or what ever.

Success Steps:

  1. Choose one method or system to focus your time and energy on.
Instead of waiting for emails to show up from caring guru’s, research various methods yourself. Consider each method for what it offers and examine both the positive and negative aspects. What is important is that you are in the driver seat and that your making decisions for yourself.
  2. Create tangible goals that are backed up by dates.
Having a goal that is driven by a date or timeline has had a big impact on my ability to earn money online.
  3. Focus on your goals daily, ask yourself each and everyday: “What can I do today to get just a little bit closer to achieving my goals and dreams” and take action.

Each and every fall I plan out the first six to nine months of the next year, in 2010 I planned to launch both Auto Content Cash and Halloween Super Affiliate. By January I was focused and taking action on my plan, I had plenty to do and simply took action on completing the tasks at hand. Suddenly what seamed like a massive project was getting completed, one week after launching ACC I got started on Halloween Super Affiliate and within several months that project was coming together.

2011 was much the same, I planned a large scale launch and product and got busy, by the end of March I had launched another coaching program and was moving forward. This year (in 2012) I plan on launching this very site, MarketingEasyStreet.com, I am working on the site now in October of 2011 so I am able to annouce the new site in January.

What is it that you want out of life? Is it more money, more time to spend with friends and family? Whatever your after you can achieve, however you need to plan it out and prepare to “give in order to receive”. There are no magic bullets, no push button riches or pixie dust that will do it all for you.

Success often looks easy to those looking in, however, most of the time success is a result of proper planning and execution. It’s time to take the bull by the horns and get busy.
